Award-winning HiFi Club was founded in 1988 by Hans Betzholtz and Elaine LeVasseur in Santa Barbara, CA, offering the design and installation of custom audiophile music systems and listening rooms. Since then, the HiFi Club has expanded to offer multi-room audio and video, home theaters, and automated control systems for residential and commercial spaces.  In 2020, 3 long-time employees, Chris Coulter, Steven Pinksky, and Mats Hammarstrand purchased the business - having combined over 66 years of experience working at HiFi Club.  Every project, small or large, is still individually designed after much study and collaboration. We test and try out every product we sell and consistently design for high performance, reliability, and ease of use. Our projects have been featured in numerous national magazines, including Robb Report’s Home Entertainment Design and Stereophile’s Guide to Home Theaters.

Our experienced and CEDIA certified staff (CEDIA Certification is a set of four credentials that reflect defined areas of knowledge in the home technology industry) includes a sales and design team, a systems integration and programming team, installation teams, an ISF (Imaging Science Foundation) certified video specialist, service specialists, and professional administrative support.

We’re proud to be early participants of Built Green Santa Barbara. Besides using energy-efficient components, we integrate home or office controls to automatically maximize the energy efficiency of sub-systems such as irrigation, lighting, heating, and air conditioning.

 

We are devoted to providing systems large or small, that are easy to use, look good, sound good, and can be updated and expanded in the future. HiFi Club pre-programs touch screens or wand-style remotes that cover any number of sub-systems, with easy icons and layouts designed especially for each client. Are you a techie gal or guy? COMPLIMENTARY CONSULTATIONS

Enjoying an amazing HiFi Club system begins with a complimentary initial consultation, preferably before construction or remodeling begins. At this meeting your questions are answered and our ideas are offered. HiFi Club staff work closely from initial design to final completion with you and your design/build team to make sure the plans for your entertainment components and controls fit in with your aesthetics and lifestyle, both indoors and outdoors.
    

Once your project begins, we stay organized and in touch, with the help of sophisticated software, to schedule work,
share information and respond to changes. If desired, HiFi Club can be a stand-alone design/build team for retrofits, such as upgrading an older audio or video system.
 

When your project is complete, our free warranty period covers parts and labor, and after that, we remain committed to the
service and support of everything we sell for as long as you own your systems.
